Browser and Built-in Web Capture

Kosmik includes a built‑in web browser so you can research, clip, and bookmark without leaving your canvas—a unique Kosmik feature.

  • Use Kosmik built-in browser? Press W or click the browser icon in the bottom bar to open the side-panel browser.

  • Create new tabs: Kosmik built-in browser supports multiple tabs. To open a new tab click on the icon at the left of the address bar and click on new tab. ****

  • Change the default search engine: Open the settings panel (click on your username in the sidebar). Navigate to the “Browser” section and pick from the “Search engine” list.

  • Kosmik ad-blocker: Kosmik browser comes with a built-in ad-blocker. You can enable and disable it directly from the edit dock in the side panel browser. click on the shield to disable it, click again to re-enable it. You can also mange the ad-blocker from the settings panel in the browser section.

  • Capture items from web pages to your canvas: Click on the Capture button in the browser edit dock (first button), or use the shortcut (Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + 2) to enter capture mode.

    • Hover and then click elements on a web page (images, text blocks, etc.) to place them directly onto the canvas.

    • Hover and click-and-drag to capture an arbitrary part of a web page.

    • Captured elements will retain a link to their original website so you can revisit them later. They are searchable, and are auto‑tagged.

  • Reuse and organize

    • Select a captured item to view its source and quickly reopen the original page.

    • Arrange captured items like any other content—group in Frames, tag, and include in your mood boards or research flows.

  • Why it’s different

    • Research and clipping happen inside Kosmik; no switching apps, no copy‑paste—everything lands on the canvas with context intact.
