Videos

Import videos into Kosmik: Drag-and-drop videos onto the canvas, click the file icon in the toolbar, or press I to open the file picker.

  • Play and control videos on the canvas: Kosmik’s video player runs directly on the canvas with convenient controls for play/pause, scrubbing to any point, volume, and changing the thumbnail. You can enable loop and autoplay for continuous playback.

  • Capture stills from a video: Use key‑frame capture to save the current frame as an image. Captured frames retain their source and time‑code context, so you can trace them back later.

  • Jump back to the exact moment a frame came from: Select the captured frame and click its source button to reopen the original video at the correct time‑code, making it easy to replay or recapture as needed.

  • Are videos and captured frames auto‑tagged? Videos and any content you capture from them are auto‑tagged. You can also add your own tags, and edit tag names or colors from the tag panel or Settings. When available, Kosmik detects key metadata such as the director.

  • Transcribe video audio to text: Select an imported video, click the magic wand, and use Speech‑to‑Text to generate a transcript on the canvas. You can also use Summarize, Explain, or Describe for video items.

  • Which video formats are supported? Kosmik supports MP4, WebM, 3GP, and OGG video files.
